New Forest Outdoor Learning Centre
New Forest Outdoor Learning Centre (NFOLC) is an independent specialist provider of education on the edge of the New Forest, Hampshire for children aged from 5-12 who have a range of severe or complex needs arising from life trauma, Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), attachment disorder or a phobia of education. Our aim is to re-engage students in learning through an inclusive, experiential curriculum. Students with complex needs often struggle to engage in a ‘traditional’ learning environment, even with reasonable adjustments being made to cater for them. This can often lead to the student experiencing repeated failure and developing a negative perception of learning. NFOLC is a unique school where a child-centred learning approach is combined with an imaginative therapeutic environment, a rich range of outdoor learning and creative educational experiences.
